This insurance policy provides coverage for damage arising from causes other than fire to Boilers and Pressure Plants, including damage to the insured equipment, surrounding property, and third-party legal liability resulting from explosion, implosion, or collapse during the normal course of operation.

The policy covers Boilers and Pressure Vessels owned by the insured and located at the insured premises against explosion, implosion, and collapse, leading to:

• Damage to Boilers and Pressure Vessels

• Damage to surrounding property, up to specified limits, arising from explosion or collapse during normal operations

• Third-party legal liability, up to specified limits, arising from:

  • Death or bodily injury to third parties

  • Damage to third-party property (not held in trust or on commission) caused solely due to explosion or collapse occurring in the ordinary course of working

The sum insured under the policy must represent the current replacement cost of the insured property. Replacement cost includes freight, duties, customs charges, and erection or installation costs, wherever applicable.
